Born out of necessity to finish a roll of 16mm film, this project was an opportunity to experiment with different uses of the medium. The Bolex H16 used is spring wound, meaning takes could only be a maximum of 25-30s long before needing to be rewound. In addition, I mounted the Bolex to a MOVI gimbal and triggered the camera with a cable release.

Test of transitioning from horizontal to vertical framing for social media usage.
I paired this rotation with crop marks so when the viewer clicked on the Reel, no video would be cropped out of sight. This also allows more room on the bottom/right of the screen for caption dialogue and @handle in the top/left.
